Define “normal.” … Go ahead…we’ll wait. Is it quiet dinners? Predictable days? Perfectly ordinary people doing perfectly ordinary things? Sounds… kind of boring, right?Good thing we’re not doing that.

This fall, snap twice and step into the spotlight, because “When You’re an Addams,” you’re family! We’re throwing open the doors to chaos, comedy, and a whole lot of characters with a double feature that’s bursting with big laughs, bold choices, and just the right amount of delightful disorder.

And we’re not doing it small! We’re doing it BIG: two shows, one cast, four performances, and twice the fun.

In Act 1, The Addams Family welcomes you to a world where “normal” is overrated and being different is the whole point, where you can live before you die and dance like nobody’s watching. Bring your quirks, your confidence, and your courage to be completely, wonderfully YOU… because when you’re an Addams, you’re family.

Then in Act 2, Beetlejuice pops in (whether you’re ready or not!) with a “hey folks, beggin’ your pardon!” and a fast-talking, rule-breaking, totally unpredictable ride full of laughs, surprises, and a whole lot of mischief. It’s weird, it’s wacky, and, because, Hey!, this is gonna be a show about… fun!

Together, The Addams Family JR. and Beetlejuice JR. create a high-energy, laugh-out-loud celebration of love, imagination, and not taking yourself too seriously.

So, if you’ve ever felt a little quirky, a little dramatic, or just a little outside the box… congratulations. You’re exactly what we’re looking for.

$25 Non-refundable Audition Fee, plus $100 Deposit (refundable if not cast)
($100 refundable if not cast; non-refundable/non-transferable if cast - will be applied to tuition balance due)

Not all who audition will be cast.

Students may register for any other Ao1 production in addition to Hadestown and may choose to drop that registration if cast in Hadestown. Ao1 will transfer your deposit for that show to your Hadestown tuition balance if notified within 24 hours of the posting of the cast list. Tuition balance must be paid within 24 hours of casting.

First Rehearsal: 8/9 - Sundays 3:30-8:30pm

Tech Rehearsals: 10/24 9am-4:30pm; 10/26, 10/27, 10/28 4:30-8:30pm

Performances: 10/29, 10/30, 10/31 (Thur, Fri, & Sat, 4 shows - Halloween shows are at 10a & 2:30p)

Tuition - $550

Payment Options
1 - 50% deposit paid upfront with balance due prior to auditions (non-refundable/non-transferable)
2 - Full tuition paid upfront (50% non-refundable/non-transferable)

3 - ADDAMS & BEETLEJUICE - $125 ($25 audition fee non-refundable; $100 deposit refundable if not cast; non-refundable/non-transferable if cast) with tuition balance due within 24 hours of casting

Costume Fee - We provide one costume for every cast member with a $15 fee for every additional costume. If you don't want your student to be cast in multiple roles, you must tell us at auditions.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available here. A 50% deposit is still required. For more information on scholarships, please contact lgelley@ao1theater.org ASAP. Deadline is 8/1/26 for scholarship consideration for Spring 2026.

Discounts

Sibling discounts will be applied when applicable. 10% off the lowest tuition for the third child and 20% off the fourth, fifth, etc.

Audition Help

AO1 REFUND POLICY

Full refunds maybe requested:

Within 72 hours of when the student was registered;
At least 4 weeks prior to the workshop, camp or the first auditions of a session.

Partial refunds will exclude the non-refundable deposit per person, per session/workshop/camp and may be requested:

Up to one week prior to the workshop, camp or the first auditions of a session. Nightlight is first rehearsal, not audition.
These refunds exclude the non-refundable deposit per person, production, workshop, or camp.

No refunds will be given within 1 week prior to the first auditions of the session or class.

*All requests must be in writing and refunds will be issued during the second week of rehearsals.

*If a family has previously requested a refund per this policy, it will be necessary for that family to pay for future Audience of One Youth Theater (“Ao1”) sessions in full, in order to secure a spot. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation involving this policy.

* Absolutely NO REFUNDS are given after auditions/classes have begun for the session.

* Ao1 will offer no refunds for drops, cancellations, or postponements.
