Whether your student is looking to try out theater for the first time, polish their skills, or simply have fun with friends, these one-to-two-week camps are the perfect addition to your summer plans!​
Your 5-18 year old will spend their days learning musical theater skills while rehearsing, playing theater games, participating in outdoor activities, and getting to know new friends!
​
Ao1's summer programming includes kids' productions for ages 5-12, workshops for ages 8-18, and a two-week intensive JR production for our teenagers.

SYNOPSIS: Welcome to the Wonderful World of Disney! Celebrate 75 years of Disney magic and some of the music that helped make that magic happen with favorite songs from the movies of Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King.

SYNOPSIS: Join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all of your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love. Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production. This production of Frozen KIDS is sure to prove that “some people are worth melting for.”

PAYMENT OPTIONS: $260 non-refundable deposit or full tuition at time of registration (including non-refundable $260 deposit). Full tuition is due one week prior to the first day of camp and is non-refundable after this date.

SYNOPSIS: This two-week camp is designed for your junior/senior high student. They'll spend 10 days singing and dancing to music and choreography tailored for our older kids so they can grow in their abilities and experience! Disney's Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right.

SYNOPSIS: Participants will gain a better understanding of their whole voice and body connection, and a stronger level of confidence in their audition, callback, performance, and presentation skills.
​
MONOLOGUES - Master your monologue! Having the right monologue is key to showcasing your abilities as an actor. We will match actors with audition material that makes them shine, building strong and exciting characters. You will know how to stage yourself with physical choices that tell your story every time and learn to be comfortable with both movement and stillness so your body knows what to do at every moment. Class work will also concentrate on tricks to relax you, helping you focus more on storytelling as well as discovering how to move through introductions and transitions with confidence.

MUSIC - Learning to prepare an audition is an essential skill for any aspiring theater artist. This class will focus on supporting students in presenting a strong audition that showcases their skills and talent. Participants will work on their singing technique and will be provided with one-on-one coaching in class. Participants will come away at the conclusion of the workshop with a musical theater song that is audition-ready.

SYNOPSIS: 5-6-7-8 and All That Jazz! This dance-packed workshop will focus on technique, flexibility, and combinations in varying dance styles like Musical Theatre, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap. You'll work on honing your dance auditions skills, creating and embodying dancin' characters, dance improv, and work through a mock audition. Didn't I mention it is dance-packed!? Bring your dance shoes (if you have them - tennis shoes or socks are great too), comfortable/form fitting clothes to move in, tons of water, and a light snack (you'll refuel, then keep moving). By the end of the week, 5-6-7-8 will be your countdown for everything and you'll understand that kicking yourself in the head is a huge accomplishment.

PRODUCTIONS FOR AGES 8-12
Your 8-12 year old will have a blast playing theatre games, learning new skills, and putting together a show. Students will audition on Monday and perform in front of family and friends on Friday.

TEEN CAMP
This two-week intensive is designed especially for our teens. Students rehearse from 9 AM - 5 PM, learning musical theatre skills, working on material from the show, and having fun with friends. This camp culminates in two performances with full sets, props, and costumes. All experience levels welcome!
