NightLight Production: Spring 2027

A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS is a charming musical celebration of friendship, adventure, and the joy found in everyday moments. Based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books, the story follows cheerful Frog and thoughtful Toadthrough a year of fun, surprises, and changing seasons.

From planting a garden and swimming in the summer to raking leaves and sledding in the snow, Frog and Toad discover that life is better when shared with a good friend. Along the way, audiences meet a delightful collection of characters, including Snail, who is determined to deliver the mail; the energetic Birds; and an ensemble of woodland friends including Squirrels, Mice, Turtles, Lizards, Moles, and more.

The show offers wonderful opportunities for young performers, with featured roles including Frog, Toad, Snail, the Birds, Mother Frog, Father Frog, Young Frog, Turtle, Lizard, Mouse, and Squirrels, as well as a lively ensemble that helps bring each season and adventure to life.

Featuring playful music, lovable characters, humor, and plenty of opportunities to sing, act, dance, and create, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS celebrates friendship, kindness, patience, and appreciating what makes each person unique.

Sweet, funny, and full of heart, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS is a wonderful introduction to musical theatre for young performers and a delightful experience for audiences of all ages.
