MoonLight Production - Fall 2020
Ages 13-18
Meets once a week
Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all!
Auditions are open to anyone ages 13-18. Rehearsals for this program will be Sunday evenings, allowing students to participate in another Ao1 production simultaneously (with parent permission of course). Not all who audition are guaranteed to be cast - we will cast a maximum of 20-25. A deposit must be paid to secure an audition. Deposits will be returned to those not cast after auditions. There are no deposit refunds for drops prior to auditions.
Students may register for one other Ao1 production in addition to Legally Blonde JR and may choose to drop that registration if cast in Legally Blonde JR. Ao1 will transfer your deposit for that show to your Legally Blonde JR tuition balance if notified within 24 hours of the posting of the cast list if you so choose. Roles must be accepted in writing and balance paid within 24 hours of casting
